Fall 2010 Deep East Texas Play will begin on August 21, 2010.

 

The Flint Gresham Ballpark begins play on May 1, 2010!  Knights take on Mt. Vernon Crushers at 11:00 a.m.

Knights Uniforms have arrived!!

Current News

Knights are in the process of finalizing Coaches for all age divisions.  Tryouts are taking place throughout July, please contact us at membership@etknights.com.

 

Fall 2010 hope to have teams in the 11U, 10U, and 8U Divisions.  We are seeking a 9U, 12U, and 13U Team to be added to our organization at some point in the future.  Please contact us if interested in coaching or trying out for one of these teams.  Tryouts will be in July for Summer/Fall 2010 Season.

The Knights finished day one as the number 2 seed and come from behind to win their semifinal game 6-5.  They lose to the Gilmer Dirtbags in the final.  A heroic effort by a team that has only been playing together for a few months!

Knights find many ways to enjoy the game of baseball, both in and out of the Pool?????

The Knights and their families all got together recently at Eagles Bluff Country Club for fun, food, and drink!  The Pool Party extraordinaire was a visible example of how kids are kids, and these kids love baseball!  Not 30 minutes into the party, all the Knights had gathered in the shallow are and were playing a improvised game of baseball with a beach ball and water cannon (bat)!  There is one thing that all had in common from the beginning..........BASEBALL!

The initial focus for the team will be the reinforcement of fundamentals.  We fully expect that every player will be asked to play multiple positions throughout this season as we will be expected to play multiple games during a single day and flexibility will be important.

 

 

 

 

10U Team

 

 

This is the inaugural team of the East Texas Knights.  Comprised of some of the finest future baseball stars across the area, this team began play in the Fall of 2009 and finished as the 9U Runner-up World Series Champion in Div II Deep East Texas Select League play.  The concept of the Knights began with a few Little League Managers getting together and seeking to find a way to continue to develop young people without having to re-draft and start over each season.  The initial selection process started with the parents.  We wanted to be sure to find parents that were committed to their child's success and would be supportive during games/practice, but also would work to develop their skills at home. Building kids of character is also a key component in the selection process.  We sought to find kids that we could develop into the future leaders of our community.

 

Our goal is not just to be competitive, but to compete at a high level both on and off the field.  The future of our kids is in our hands and we want to give them all the skills necessary to be successful wherever their careers take them.  We will not be successful if winning is all we are about.  We must learn to win the right way and learn to deal with adversity as this is really the lesson about life.  It is a privilege to be an East Texas Knight and with the help and support of friends and family we will be successful in developing these kids of character.

 

Player contracts for each Knights Team are for a single season and tryouts and offers of contracts occur prior to each season played.
